Quick history lesson: There are around 20 tea fields in the city of Boseong. These tea fields are some of the most famous in Korea and account for 40% of Korea’s total green tea production. We visited the Daehan Plantation, which is one of the largest. It was established in 1957 and has hills reaching 350 meters. It was originally planted during the japanese occupation of Korea, and then it was purchased by Korean entrepreneurs in 1957 and transformed into a major tourist destination.
Mmm green tea ice cream. Not as good as it looked.
